Apparently honey isn’t safe either…

Posted by justanotherstayathomemom on July 26, 2009

article:  http://www.seattlepi.com/local/394198_honey31.asp

“Don’t let the claims on honey labels dupe you”

More utter ridiculousness.  Now our honey is suspected to contain corn syrup.  Ultra processed honey isn’t even honey, and of course it comes from our good friends the Chinese, who always have their our best interests at heart.  Honey doensn’t even have to be labeled with country of origin.

Why do we import honey?  I don’t understand!

But, one of the more disturbing thiings this article points out is this quote:

Pringles’ Honey Buttered Wheat Stix, for example, doesn’t list honey among its 30-plus ingredients.

A company representative said the snack is made in Thailand and contains artificial honey flavoring, not real honey. “We call it ‘honey butter’ because that’s what it tastes like,” she said.

Ummm, why is Pringles making our snacks in Thailand???  Away from US Health Inspectors????  HMMMMMM????  How clean do you think their facilities are?  We may never know…

Let’s not forget this simple snack has 30 ingredients!!!!  I don’t think I have ever made a recipe that had 30 ingredients, have you?  Not even curry….yikes.

Money.  How can it be cheaper to make a snack in Thailand, then ship it to the US, and then ship it to grocery stores???  How much gasoline was wasted?  This makes me so freakin’ mad.  What the hell is wrong with us???  Are we so spoiled on cheap food, and the accompanying poor treatment of those worker bees in Thailand, that we can’t make it here ourselves, employ our people and charge a few more cents???

Yes, we are that spoiled.

Shame on us.

I am going to be looking into this “country of origin” thing.  I am now very interested in where my food is being made.

Very interested.  How about you?

Here is the ingredient list for the wheat sticks:

Commentary on our Governmental System

Posted by justanotherstayathomemom on July 24, 2009

I received this in an email today, and thought I would post it for your enjoyment.

545 vs 300,000,000
EVERY  CITIZEN NEEDS TO READ THIS AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THIS JOURNALIST HAS  SCRIPTED IN THIS MESSAGE.  READ IT  AND THEN REALLY THINK ABOUT  OUR CURRENT POLITICAL DEBACLE.

Charley  Reese has been a journalist for 49 years.

545  PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world  who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever  wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if  all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have  inflation and high taxes?

You and I don’t propose a federal budget.  The president does.

You and I don’t have the  Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of  Representatives does.

You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress  does.

You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You  and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve  Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one  president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human  beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally,  and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague  this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve  Board because that problem was created by the  Congress.  In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty  to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central  bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a  sound reason.. They have no legal authority.  They have no  ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one  cotton-picking

thing.  I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.  The  politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what  the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility  to determine  how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy  convincing you that what they did is not their fault.   They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What  separates a politician from a normal human being is an  excessive amount of gall.  No normal  human being would have the gall of a  Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating  deficits..  The president can only propose a budget.   He cannot force the Congress to accept  it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the  land, gives sole responsibility to the House of  Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes.  Who is the speaker of the House?   Nancy Pelosi.  She is  the leader of the majority party.  She and  fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want.  If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if  they agree  to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can  not replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of  incompetence and irresponsibility.  I can’t think of a  single domestic problem  that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.  When you fully  grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal  government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to  exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it  unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in  the red ..

If the Army &Marines are in  IRAQ ,  it’s because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not  receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available  to the people, it’s because they want it that way.

There are no  insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift  the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can  abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to  regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can  take this power.  Above all, do not let them con you into  the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the  economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing  what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they  alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the  power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the  people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the  gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of  them out of office and clean up their mess!

What you do with this article now that you have  read it………. Is up to you.

What in the hell happened? Can you spell ‘politicians?’
And I still have to ‘press 1’ for English!?

My note:  It is truley sad the state of our country.  So many don’t understand what is going on with healthcare and our budget, it is sad.  I was talking with my friend just yesterday and I mentioned “Universal Heathcare” and how it is going to screw our country and our doctors.  She said she didn’t know much about it, she has been to wrapped up in the up coming remodel of her house, and subsequent applying for a loan and refinance of her house to help pay for said remodel.

She has no idea because she is to caught up in everyday crap.  This vast majority of our country feel this exact way, otherwise, there would be rioting in the street.  Most of the “sheeple” are more concerned with who or what killed Micheal Jackson and who John (from John and Kate plus 8) is dating.

Seriously, who cares?  I no longer watch MSM news…I have been sticking to Fox and the internet.  Good Morning America and The Today Show are a joke at best.

We could replace all of these Senators and Representatives, but that would require action, and voting.  Both are sorely lacking in our country.

(and then we would have to replace the replacements because they too would become corrupt, thanks to the massive amount of lobbyists)

Birth Control in an ear of corn? The wave of the future…

Posted by justanotherstayathomemom on July 8, 2009

Well, we can thank Glenn Beck for clue-ing me in to this little tid-bit of information.  He was interviewing an author of a new book called “The Doomsday Key”.  The author talked about researching GMO foods and how he found out about a company, called Epicyte, which developed a line of GMO corn which renders males who eat it infertile.

Did you get that?  The men who ate the corn can no longer make sperm….no sperm, no babies.

Check it out for yourselves…http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/?p=563

A small California biotech company, Epicyte, in 2001 announced the development of genetically engineered corn which contained a spermicide which made the semen of men who ate it sterile. At the time Epicyte had a joint venture agreement to spread its technology with DuPont and Syngenta, two of the sponsors of the Svalbard Doomsday Seed Vault. Epicyte was since acquired by a North Carolina biotech company. Astonishing to learn was that Epicyte had developed its spermicidal GMO corn with research funds from the US Department of Agriculture, the same USDA which, despite worldwide opposition, continued to finance the development of Terminator technology, now held by Monsanto.

Ahhhh, our old friends Monsanto.  Did you watch the movie from the last post yet?  Wow, these guys are into everything…

The rest of the article is even scarier….read on….

In the 1990’s the UN’s World Health Organization launched a campaign to vaccinate millions of women in Nicaragua, Mexico and the Philippines between the ages of 15 and 45, allegedly against Tentanus, a sickness arising from such things as stepping on a rusty nail. The vaccine was not given to men or boys, despite the fact they are presumably equally liable to step on rusty nails as women.

Because of that curious anomaly, Comite Pro Vida de Mexico, a Roman Catholic lay organization became suspicious and had vaccine samples tested. The tests revealed that the Tetanus vaccine being spread by the WHO only to women of child-bearing age contained human Chorionic Gonadotrophin or hCG, a natural hormone which when combined with a tetanus toxoid carrier stimulated antibodies rendering a woman incapable of maintaining a pregnancy. None of the women vaccinated were told.

It later came out that the Rockefeller Foundation along with the Rockefeller’s Population Council, the World Bank (home to CGIAR), and the United States’ National Institutes of Health had been involved in a 20-year-long project begun in 1972 to develop the concealed abortion vaccine with a tetanus carrier for WHO. In addition, the Government of Norway, the host to the Svalbard Doomsday Seed Vault, donated $41 million to develop the special abortive Tetanus vaccine.

I used to wonder why some peep’s, mainly homeschoolers and the like, refused to vaccinate their children.  Some think it causes Autism, which there is a lot of evidence, to say the least, of a connection, and some think vaccines are just unecessary in a society which has virtually eradicated most of the diseases we routinely vaccinate for.  Now, I find out our own government, along with the WHO (world health organization) had developed a vaccined to make a certain sect of women unable to carry a pregnancy to term.

Utter Ridiculousness.

I think I may have to stop eating corn.  If this has been planted out in the open, and methinks it likely has, do we really think this corn was contained to only the test fields into which it was planted?  Do I look stupid to you?  No wonder we have a crazy amount of women on fertility drugs.  If this stuff is out there, and it is currently in some farmer’s field, reproducing and infecting other strains of corn, we have no way of knowing if we are eating it or not because our fantastic former president declaired GMO’s and regular food the same and therefore they don’t need to be labled as such.

Think about how many things we eat that have corn, corn syrup, and high fructose corn syrup in them….

Hundreds of thousands of items….everything from your ketchup to your soft drinks to your yogurt and even your applesauce (unless your like me and get unsweetened applesauce).

More to come on corn syrup and it’s chemical cousin high-fructose corn syrup…

I betcha can’t wait!!!
